My name is Nick Wolfe and I am a professional accredited CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) counsellor. My practice is specifically REBT and related Therapies but I am also “Integrative” trained which covers Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) , Quantum Psychology, Psycho Linguistics, Assertiveness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
In the right circumstances, I am able to offer a limited number of sessions at concessionary rates.
In addition, I cover Addiction/Substance Abuse therapy each week for the NHS, specifically with the Camden & Islington NHS Trust.
It was my own experience of therapies, most types, that led me to where I am now. I suffered a major Life Changing accident 11 years ago and underwent short and long term therapy, covering Psychodynamic, Person Centred and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I had to deal with PTSD and resulting Depression. CBT counselling, particularly REBT was for me, a life saver and now I wish to pass this onto others

Why CBT Counsellor /REBT
CBT counselling or specifically, REBT or Rational Therapy (RT) is a proven and scientific method of counselling. This is what differentiates REBT from other forms of counselling . REBT places much emphasis on the present – The Here And Now – on currently held beliefs and attitudes, painful emotions, and maladaptive/dysfunctional behaviours. Its these behaviours and resulting emotions that can sabotage a fuller experience of life. That is, REBT teaches people how to overcome problems and how to implement healthy and realistic alternatives to current psychological patterns.
